His first experience with motor sports was during 6 years old when his father gave him a go-cart. In 1990 when was 10 years old, he started racing at the youngest age who could participate in the series. After that, he built his career for 9 years and experienced winning several races in international and domestic go-cart races. In 2000, he made a successful debut in the Italian Championship, "Formula Renault 2000". Until 2002, his race field was in Europe. In 2003, he shifted his career in Japan participating in "Formula-3"series in Japan. Following year, he became overall yearly champion in F-3 series. In 2005, he participated in "SUPER GT". In the second half of the season, he participated in "Formula Nippon Japan Series". In the third season(2007), he won a long desired champion in Round 4. In 2008, he fully participated in "SUPER GT" as Nissan´s contract driver and earned a victory in Round 7, with the newly designed machine NISSAN GT-R. In 2011 and 2012 season, he won a series champion in "SUPER GT" consecutively. This was never accomplished before. In 2013, he transferred to NISMO and drove as the top driver in the which car number is "23". In 2014, he won his 3rd champion and in 2015, he won his 4th champion. By then, he achieved to be a person, winning the most titles in SUPER GT 500 class. In June 2016, he won "ufficiale", an order of merit given from the Italian Republic for his admirable record of winning SUPER GT series champion 4 times, along with his devoted volunteer activity to help people involved in Great East Japan Earthquake. Now, he still is active in Japan, enrolls as a racer, active to build human resource, and carrying out volunteer activities mainly in Japan.
